How quickly things change.

After yesterday’s confirmation with Kyle he has now informed me that the landlord has terminated the lease and has changed the locks on the doors.

Until further notice all teams scheduled to play at K&R will play out of Raxx. Tables will be open at 5:30 and you should start play around 6:30. No change to personnel arriving before 8pm. They can still make up all their games.

We will not change the schedule on the website.

I will not assign tables but will give you the tables that are paired. Place cards will be dropped of on the nearest table. First members of a team showing up is to pick their choice of 2 tables as listed bellow:

Group 1, 13 and 21

Group 2, 20 and 24

Group 3, 22 and 23

Group 4, 27 and 30

Group 5, 28 and 31

Group 6, 32 and 33

Group 7, 25 and 34

Tables 19 and 29 are open to all.

Tables 44 and 45 need confirmation on nightly basis.

Please return your table cards as I am running short.

Fellow Captains,

I am receiving conflicting information from K&R management about the indefinite closing of the bar.

In order not to take a chance, the 4 teams scheduled to play there will play out of Raxx tonight. They are, Sly Fox, Pocket Pool, Ralph’s Renegades and 6 in the side.

As we will only have 16 tables for 14 teams, I encourage the competing Captains to contact each other for an early start of 6:30. I will try to confirm with Raxx if they will open the tables for practice at 5:30 and possibly provide more tables as the evening progresses.

I will assign tables upon arrival.

This will remain in effect until we get further information from K&R, meaning all teams scheduled to play there in the future will play out of Raxx.

We also want to congratulate each of our 22 teams for making this such a fun year of pool. The league gets its unique charm from the diversity of our players, and it wouldn’t be the same without every one of you bringing your best each week.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at the Year-End Tournament on May 9th! Details can be found here.

This year, on May 9th, RAXX will open its doors at 11:30, with registration beginning at that time. A buffet lunch of ribs, wings, sides, and dessert will be served from 12:15 to 1:30. During lunch, door prizes and trophies will be awarded. Out of courtesy, we ask that everyone refrain from playing pool during this time.

At 1:30, the round-robin pool tournament will begin with assigned tables and teams.

There is an entrance fee of $7.00 for anyone who wishes to play in the tournament. If you are not playing, there is no fee—pool league members are welcome to attend and enjoy the lunch, prizes, and trophy presentation.

NOTE: If you cannot attend the year-end party and have played more than 6 games this year, please give your name to your captain or Bone. Your name will be entered into the prize draw.

As in the past, there will be an alcohol draw and a 50/50 draw. Tickets will be sold during the tournament:

1 ticket for $2.00
3 tickets for $5.00
10 tickets for $10.00
30 tickets for $20.00

A non-perishable food donation box will be available at the main entrance. Cash donations are also welcome. All donations will go to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Kingston.

Tuesday Night Mixed Eight Ball League League Meeting Minutes: March 3^rd, 2026 at 7:00 631 Legion

Agenda (attached below) items were discussed to be voted on if necessary at the AGM in August.

Points voted on:

Money collected at the year end tournament was voted to be donated to Dave Tessier all in favour. This would include 50/50 draw and entrance fees.

Year end lunch was discussed for the tournament at Raxx. Vote was carried to have a lunch paid for from the league funds. This is a way of giving back to Raxx as a venue. They do not charge us all year for playing on their tables. Without Raxx we would not have a league venue to play.

• Rules not currently listed in the rule book
• 19-point forfeit
• Player eligibility (1 team per night rule)
• Frozen cue ball
• Ball jumping off the table or bouncing out of a pocket

What a season, TNM8BL! You all brought the competition, the focus, and the fun week after week. The regular season delivered some great match-ups — and now it’s time to turn it up.

The playoffs are officially set. Teams have been divided into three divisions: A, B, and C, and the full playoff schedule is now live.
